Hey divas! So a lot of people been asking me about my hair regimen. What products do I use specifically and what are my hair routines in order to retain my hair length. Well here it is!
1. I'm usually wearing my hair in a updo hairstyle, nothing too crazy.
2. Spray hair day/night with a spray bottle that has a few drops of 100% Glycerin, 1 oz of natural oil (Olive oil, Coconut oil, Jojoba oil and etc...)
3. Tie hair with satin silk scarf and wear a satin bonnet just in case.
Weekly Routine :
1. Co wash hair with a cheap conditioner (suave coconut or Mane n tail conditioner) Well I don't consider this as a weekly routine, because I usually co wash every 2-3 days.
NOTE: I only shampoo depending on how much product build up I have on my scalp. If I didn't use a lot of products during that week I will much rather wash my hair with a cheap conditioner to lightly cleanse my scalp and restoring moisture back into my hair.
Bi Weekly Routine :
1. I use a light homemade protein treatment which is one egg, 1 oz of olive oil and mix it with 4-5oz of mayonnaise into bowl (I DO NOT USE HEAT!!)
2. Before applying my protein treatment I use a spray bottle that has water in it and spray it all over my hair until it feels damp but not soaking wet. I leave the protein treatment for about 15-25 mins.
3. After that I would wash protein treatment out of my hair completely, then apply my regular moisturizing conditioner Main n tail for about 1-2 hours then rinse with cold water.
4. Apply my regular leave in and natural oil then air dry and finally style into a updo hair style.
Monthly Routine :
1. I'll would use the Monoi repairing shampoo then deep condition with the Monoi repairing hair mask , both by Carols daughter. (AMAZING PRODUCT!!!)
2. I would leave in the deep conditioner for 2-3 hours without heat.
3. Then use my regular leave in conditioner and natural oil
4. Finally air dry and style my hair into a updo hairstyle. Occasionally I would use my Kinky Curly Custard to achieve better curl definition.
Yearly :
1. Blow dry and flat iron (using a heat protection on hair) for length check.
2. Trim my ends.
Listen ladies! its very simply. Just keep your scalp clean, keep hair moisturized and ends protected! we're not perfect. I'm guilty of going to bed without a satin scarf sometimes, forgetting to moisturized my hair or sealing my ends. It happens! we all have our lazy days. Just try your best to give more care to your care than damage.
